Why “SeekingMyPolaris?”
Remote Year names each cohort and mine was named Polaris. Polaris is the North Star, which is often used in navigation to find true North (and thus, find their way). Because the star is stationary in the sky (visible from the Northern Hemisphere), it can be used to guide your way. Seeking my Polaris is a play on that – the idea that we were finding our way through the world, and seeking our own North Stars to use to navigate our lives.
I started this blog to document my Remote Year experience and my travels along the way. If you’re curious what Remote Year is, read here, and if you’re interested in participating in Remote Year, you can earn $200 off your program by using my link to obtain more information.
